Good Morning everyone! 😊

Here are the activities we would like class 5 and 6 to complete today.

Children can continue to begin their morning with ‘Joe/The Body Coach’ who is posting live 30 minute PE lessons on YouTube every morning at 9am.  Follow the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

English – Complete more of the reading SATS paper. Today you can complete pages 15-16. Read the text carefully and use your RAMP reading skills to answer the questions.

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.

Maths fluency – complete set A of the mad maths minutes worksheet. Maybe time how long it takes to complete the questions by partitioning the numbers (e.g 17 = 10 + 7)

Maths – Lesson eight  – Money SATS questions –Children to answer questions 1- 6 on the worksheet for Wednesday. If you are stuck or can’t remember how to work out the answer, don’t worry! Just have a go and try your best!

Spellings – Play games practising spellings from your spellings this week.

Please see the ‘Year 2 Home Learning Overview’ post from Friday for Geography, History, ICT and Science expectations.

Other ways to keep busy today:

  • Write a diary entry about what you have been up to this week – Just like Samuel Pepys and the Great Fire we are part of an important part of history at the moment that people may learn about in the future!
  • Explore a woodland habitat and create a poster with information you have learnt. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zx882hv/articles/zc42xnb

Keep updated daily for home learning reminders, helpful tips and more fun activities to keep you busy and motivated!

See you all very soon! Don’t forget to add a comment to let us know what work you have done. We’d love to know how you’re getting on!

Miss Powers and Miss Sharp 😊
