Happy Wednesday Year 1!

Hope you enjoyed your home learning tasks yesterday! Below are the home learning activities for you to complete today.

Don’t forget to tune into Joe Wicks’ workout on YouTube at 9am to start off your day!

Reading: Tune into a Read Write Inc lesson on YouTube- Set 1: 9:30am, Set 2: 10:00am and Set 3: 10:30am.

Maths:

Day 8 worksheet in your home learning pack, ‘finding number bonds’.

Afterwards, write down as many number bonds to 10 as you can in 1 minute. Ask your parents or carers to time you. How many number bonds to 20 can you do in 2 minutes? Try doing the same tomorrow to see if you can beat your time!

English:

Day 8 English task from your home learning pack.

Next, write a short postcard to someone who is not living with you. This could be a friend or a relative.  Find out why people send postcards to each other. Use this short power point to help you and this postcard template to write.

Fluency:

Have a go at writing out your 2s, 5s and 10s! You could even use our songs to help you.

Computing:

Complete some of the 2Dos set on PurpleMash. Your login information was included in your home learning pack- if you’re struggling to find this just email your class teacher!

Other activities to keep you busy:

  • Junk Modelling- collect and recycle materials such as yogurt pots, toilet rolls, boxes and plastic bottles.♻️
  • See what you can create with them! Draw a view- Take a look out of your window and draw what you can see. ✍️🖼
  • Choreograph a dance or learn a new dance routine to your favourite song! 🕺💃🏻
