In class 7, we know that dark is just the absence of light. So when we were given the question ‘what causes a shadow?’ we knew where to start looking.

Once we had strengthened our understanding that shadows are formed when light is blocked by an opaque or sometimes translucent object, we took to the playground to put it into action.

We were very lucky with the weather and caught the sun at a nice low point, creating nice stretchy and fun shadows. We grabbed the chalk and got artistic. Take a look!
