What a fantastic day Class 4 have had at Formby Beach, with glorious weather too.

We played football, built sandcastles, drew pictures in the sand, and hunted for sea creatures and shells. It was lots of fun! We even buried Holly in the sand (we dug her up again before we came home though)!

The children were a credit to the school and made Miss French and Mrs Salisbury very proud. Thank you also to our parent helpers – we couldn’t have done it without you!

My favourite part was when we were riding on the coach.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:16 am

Yes, there was a lot of laughter and fun had on the coach on the way there. It was much quieter on the return journey though – I think a lot of you fell asleep after having such a tiring day.

My favourite part of the beach was the sandcastles.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:25 am

I enjoyed helping with the sandcastles too. It’s been a long time since I last had the chance and I was a little rusty, but it was a lot of fun to build them again.

Me and Bobby dug a big hole and found a brick buried.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:26 am

It certainly was a big hole. Were you looking for buried treasure?

Jola · 28th June 2018 at 1:42 pm

I liked building sandcastles.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:17 am

I’m glad you enjoyed it, Jola.

Holly · 28th June 2018 at 1:42 pm

I like the trip because I liked building sand castles.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:23 am

I liked looking at all the sandcastles you all made. There was so much creativity on display on the beach that day – sandcastles of all different shapes and sizes.

Bobby · 28th June 2018 at 1:45 pm

I liked playing football on the beach with Filip and Kayan.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:21 am

I’m glad you enjoyed playing football – there were some serious skills on display! Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be playing for England at the World Cup, Bobby?

My best part at the beach was when me and Skye Josh and Jayden built thirty two sandcastles.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:15 am

Was that how many there were? Wow! Well done for working as a team to produce so many sandcastles.

Roxanne · 28th June 2018 at 1:55 pm

My favourite part was washing my hands in the automatic sinks in the bathrooms because I’d never used ones that washed and dried your hands before.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:14 am

Yes, you don’t see many of that kind anymore. I hope you enjoyed being on the beach too.

Josh · 28th June 2018 at 2:01 pm

I liked it when me and Jayden made sandcastles. There were so many of them!

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:13 am

It was a very long line of sandcastles, Josh. You and Jayden were very committed and worked hard.

Tia · 28th June 2018 at 2:04 pm

I played with Saga and we built a sandcastle.

    Miss French · 7th July 2018 at 10:13 am

You played really nicely together. It was lovely to see you having so much fun.
