This week in Science, we conducted an experiment to find out what material would make the best heat insulator.
We covered several cups in different materials and filled them with boiling water. At regular intervals (every 5 mins), we measured the temperature of the water using a thermometer. We bent down to eye level and carefully counted the increments on the scale to ensure we were reading the correct temperature
We found that wadding was the best insulator as it kept our water warmer for longer.
