Our learning journey for Science this term is all about Super Scientists! We have begun our science lessons by researching Isaac Newton and why he is famous.  Last week we learnt that Isaac Newton discovered the theory of gravity and carried out our own experiment to investigate the effect gravity has on everyday objects. We added paper clips to spinners which we dropped at the same time to find out which one landed on the floor first. We came to the conclusion that the weight of the object affected the speed it fell to the floor.

This week we learnt that the light from the sun is made up of lots of different colours mixed together.  We put this to the test and explored what happens when we shine a light through a variety of prisms.  We discovered that when white light passes through a prism it can be split into a rainbow.

Next week we are going to be researching Alexander Graham Bell!
