Over the past couple of days, we have been looking at how to structure and write a non-chronological report.
On Tuesday, Miss Wolf demonstrated how to set out the heading, the introduction, a subheading and then we all worked together to write a WAGOLL non-fiction paragraph about a Texas Horned Lizard on the whiteboard. We focused on fronted adverbials, powerful adjectives and the technical vocabulary we had found when researching desert animals.
On Wednesday, we worked in our table teams to write non-fiction paragraphs on our other desert animal focuses ā the Arizona Bark Scorpion and the Sidewinder Rattlesnake. We came up with some great ideas and tried hard to edit and improve our sentences.
