This half term, Class 9 have been looking at the topic ‘Where does our stuff come from?’ and part of that was looking at the origin of foods, including vegetables.

They looked at how and where different vegetables grow and researched their seasonality to come up with a list of ingredients to make soup.

Our soup contained:

  • carrots
  • onions
  • cauliflower
  • cabbage
  • peas
  • garlic
  • basil
  • mint, and
  • vegetable stock

We spent the afternoon chopping, boiling, stirring and blending to make our delicious soup. We thought it was so delicious that we even sent samples to other classes for the teachers to try.
