Today we had a special assembly – a follow-up from some RE workshops that some classes had last week.
Cathy from RE On Demand came in to speak to us about how people celebrate religious festivals. She talked about common threads that are found in most religious celebrations, such as:
- spending time with family and friends
- places of worship
- special food
- gifts/cards
- decoration
- special clothes
- stories
Mason, Larosa and Meghan from our class were chosen to stand at the front and hold objects related to some of the common threads mentioned.
