Yesterday, Class 4 began their new Computing unit looking at pictograms.
We started our lesson by discussing different modes of transport and making a concept map on the whiteboard containing all our ideas.
Then we talked about which modes of transport we used to get to school. Nobody came to school by boat or hot air balloon! We narrowed it down to our different options and Miss French showed us how to enter the data onto our pictogram.
Then we decided to make another pictogram about our favourite fruit. We all drew pictures of our favourite fruit and then we counted up how many of each picture we had before entering our data.
We now feel confident that we know how to use the program so next week we will have a go at making our own, individual pictograms.
