On Wednesday it was Mental Health Awareness Day and Class 11 discussed many sensitive issues that are important to all of our lives. This included what strategies we can use when we are upset or angry and we shared many good examples such as listening to music, reading a book, talking to friends and breathing exercises. Benny and Alex K also asked the class what they enjoy in school (such as the calming area in our classroom) and if we had any new ideas to share with the PLT. Many children enjoyed the yoga session we did last week and think this would support mindfulness and mental health further in school.
