Good morning Class 9!  No school work today! (I’m kidding of course – April Fools! 😂🤣 Scroll down to find the work as usual.)

Seriously though, I hope you’re all okay. Remember to leave a comment to let me know.

Here are your tasks for today:

  • Daily Reading: (to be recorded in your reading record)
  • Maths: Power Maths Unit 10, Lesson 8 Hundredths (3) (Pg 141-143)  Here’s the Discover guidance to help you:(and if you’re struggling, check out this video)
  • English: Grammar – Showing Possession (Apostrophes)
  • Spellings: Use a dictionary or a phone/iPad/laptop to look up the definition of each word then put them into sentences.
  • Fluency: Multiplication Practise – Focus on your 8 times table today
  • History: Start to write up your notes about the Anglo-Saxons or Vikings. Make sure you organise your writing using headings and subheadings and write in full sentences.
  • Something fun: Take the time to tidy and sort your bedroom. Could you make a pile of toys or books you no longer need which could be later donated to charity?

Don’t forget to leave a comment to let everyone know what you’ve been up to! If you’ve missed any of the home learning, it’s still available on the blog so make sure to go back and catch up (particularly with the Maths or you may be lost).

If you have any questions about the work or want to send me photos or examples of the work you’ve been doing, please ask your parents to email me at class9@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk or you can leave a comment here on the blog.

Why not check out this “Action for Happiness” Calendar too – it has a daily suggestion for positive ways to look after ourselves and each other at this time:

I have been busy with homework but I have had lots of fun. I have made slime and played slime shop with Scarlett. We used our maths!

It’s great to hear you’re getting on okay with all of your work and a slime shop sounds like a great idea for practising your Maths! If you can, can you get your mum to email me pictures of your History and Geography projects?

Stay safe! (Oh, and +1 dojo for commenting!)
