Good morning everyone!  Well, we’re now in week 2 of our home learning. I hope you’re all doing okay.

  • PE with Joe:  Remember at 9 am every morning ‘The body coach’ will be posting live PE lessons on YouTube. Start your day right with a burst of energy! Follow the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html
  • Maths: Power Maths Unit 10, Lesson 2 Tenths (2) (Pg 123) Here’s the Discover guidance to help you (and if you’re struggling, check out this video)
  • English: Grammar – Showing Possession (Apostrophes). If you need some help, check out this link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zvwwxnb/articles/zx9ydxs
  •  Fluency: Practise multiplication tables.
  • History: Begin your research into the Anglo Saxons or Vikings. Remember you need to include: a timeline showing when the Anglo-Saxon or Viking periods began and ended as well as information on:
    • Where they came from
    • What jobs they did
    • What their houses looked like
    • What they wore and the materials their clothes were made from
    • What they ate
    • Their religion (Who and how they worshiped)
    • Key figures (Anglo-Saxon and Viking Kings)
    • Key events and battles
  • There is plenty of information out there on the internet but these websites may help:

  • Something fun: Imagine you are a Lego engineer hired by NASA – they want you to build a new space rocket! (If you don’t have Lego, feel free to use another construction material). Email me photos of your creations too.
  • Don’t forget to leave a comment to let everyone know what you’ve been up to! If you’ve missed any of the home learning, it’s still available on the blog so make sure to go back and catch up (particularly with the Maths or you may be lost) If you have any questions about the work, please email me at class10@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk
