Festive PE
We had lots of fun playing for Christmas inspired games in PE today. Working as a team played a big part in being successful. Christmas lights was a hit and the classic snowball dodgeball was great fun!

We have been designing our own special Christmas hats today. Getting into the festive spirit and practising our cutting skills around those tricky edges. Merry Christmas everyone!
Well done Simon and Zara for joining the KS2 concert and singing in the choir. You did a great job standing up there and performing with all the older children. Beautiful singing!
Class 8 have been practising drawing in the style of the Dutch artist Van Gough. I’m really impressed how they have created their own piece of artwork with a distinct style of the artist we all can recognise. Well done!

The future IT techs of Haywood! Class 8 have enjoyed exploring the world of code, applying their new skills to complete challenges online.
What a performance! Class 8 really put everything into their Nativity performance and had a great time doing it. All those hours of hard work practicing and rehearsing really paid off. We hope you enjoyed the show!
As well as wearing odd socks, Class 8 had a big discussion about what bullying is and how we can stop it from happening. We discussed how walking away just isn’t good enough and we have to act to make a change!
Class 8 have been exploring the world of archeology. They have had a hands on experience of gently digging for artefacts, left behind by people from the past.
The theme this year is Refuge. With everything going on in the world, it was good to reflect on how lucky we are to have a school to come to everyday where we feel happy and safe. Something we might take for granted and never imagine it to be gone. Read more…
