The children in Class 12 and 13 had an amazing trip to Blackpool Zoo! We saw lots of different mammals, birds and reptiles – we even got to watch the sealion show! The children were excellent, and a real credit to our school. Take a look at our pictures below.
This afternoon we took part in the Greater Manchester Music Education Hub’s singing challenge. All primary schools across 9 authorities – Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford – joined together to sing the same song at the same time. Class 13 have been researching the art of African masks. They did observational drawings from real masks and then designed their own by collecting ideas from a variety of reference materials. This afternoon we learnt how to make a basic spreadsheet using Purple Mash. We can now copy and paste cells and find the probability of an event happening.
Auditions were held this afternoon for the main parts in our summer production High School Musical. Pupils from Years 5 & 6 worked hard learning lines and songs from the show for their audition. Year 6 have started their SATs and this afternoon they are competing in a reading revision competition in pairs. Who will win?
Year 6 SATs will be held next week. Monday 14th SPAG and spelling test. Tuesday 15th Reading Comprehension test. Wednesday 16th Maths arithmetic and reasoning 1 tests.
