Class 14 applied their best problem solving skills in order to find the solution to a reasoning problem. The children needed to guess a part of the overall answer and continually check if the outcome fitted the conditions of the problem. Lloyd was the first to completely solve the problem. Read more…
Children in Reception have enjoyed a range of activities in the provision that encourage them to apply their Maths skills. They have been ordering numbers, matching amounts, counting out objects and matching and positioning shapes.
In Maths Class 3 have been looking at using the ‘greater than, less than and equal to’ symbols to compare number sentences. Today we used Numicon to create the number sentences and used the symbols to compare them. Have a look at some of our super work!
Our reasoning lesson this week was all about eggs in baskets. We had to read the clues carefully then we used our guess and improve strategy to try and solve the problem. We used practical resources, and our partners, to help us effectively solve the puzzle.
We have been practising using our number bonds to ten and then counting on from ten to add single digit numbers this week. The children have enjoyed doing this in different ways using equipment and resources to support them.
