Landscape Art

During a busy week of assessments, class 11 had some wind down time creating colourful and patterned landscape pictures. First they drew the outline trying to show different aspects of the landscape such as background and foreground. We think they look great.

Great home learning

     Class 13 have been researching the art of African masks. They did observational drawings from real masks and then designed their own by collecting ideas from a variety of reference materials. Indonesian Masks!

As part of our learning about the firework-maker’s daughter, we have been studying traditional Indonesian art. The children were really interested in the masks and we decided to make our own. We used collage to create scary symmetrical masks. What do you think?
