Self portraits using the iPads
Children in Class 1 have been using the iPads to create self portraits. They found and launched the app they needed and then were able to select the colours and make their pictures independently.

The children in nursery have been learning about Remembrance Day and have enjoyed making their own Poppy’s.
In Class 1 we have been finding out what happens when we mix two colours together. We chose our colours and mixed them in our hands! The children could then talk about the colours they had made and how they had made them.
Today nursery have been outside exploring Autumn. We have been finding leaves that have fallen on the floor and discussing how the leaves have changed colour. We then went inside and did some wonderful mark making by leaf printing.
Class 11 have finished their 3D solar system! Each group had one planet that they researched and created a fun fact file. Then they used paper Mache to build up their 3D structure and finished the task today by choosing and mixing paints to create a dramatic effect of their Read more…

The best way to understand rocks is to see them in person! So in today’s science lesson, we looked at a wide variety of rocks, from igneous, to sedimentary, to metamorphic. In Class 12 today, we got pretty messy creating 8 model versions of the planets in the solar system. We had to work as a team and each take a role in covering the balloons in newspaper. First layer finished, watch this space to see the finish products.
As part of our space topic, Class 11 have been researching a planets and making fact files. Today each group started to make a 3D version of their planet. This was a messy job including balloons and glue but with excellent teamwork skills our planets are almost complete! Come and Read more…
