The children in nursery have been hunting for ladybugs this morning and they found one. The children discussed how to look after the ladybug and then found a leaf for it to eat.
Class 11 have produced some fantastic pieces of homework over the holidays for our Linked Learning topic ‘Rainforests’. There has been a variety of work including: information posters, power points, postcards and drawings. A particular well done to Kyle for going to the zoo and bringing in photographs and information on rainforest animals from the Amazon. Today we explored the concept of regular and irregular shapes and how to recognise them. To help, we used a joined piece of string and worked together to create both regular and irregular versions of different 2D shapes. This was fairly tricky when trying to make all the sides and angles the same.
Yesterday we got to do a session with Coach Helen from Total dance we we moving at different speeds, we were balancing and jumping. We had fun playing a game at the end.
Mr Stamp has completed a past sats paper but he is not sure if he got everything correct or not as he was very tired when working… therefore Class 14 are working through his answers to the reading paper and assessing what has been missed or not explained fully in his answers. The pre school children who are moving up to Reception in September will be receiving a reading book today. The book will have pictures only in for you and your child to discuss what is happening in the story. The children can predict what they think will happen in the story and discuss the pictures, looking at the setting and characters. For their Spring 2 challenge, the Digital Leaders were tasked with evaluating apps and helping others to use them. Using the screen recording function on the iPads they created video tutorials for several apps.
