Gauntlet Birds of Prey Centre brought some of their birds and other animals into school to help us bring our current topic to life. We were very lucky to see a little owl, a barn owl, a chaco owl, a vulture, a red legged seriema, a ferret and a harris hawk. Many of the birds flew around the school hall and some were happy to let us all stroke them. We enjoyed sharing our learning with their handler, Sally, and she was really impressed with how much we already knew about owls. We are going to use the photographs we took and the information we learned to help us write non-chronological reports.
